Publié pour la première fois en France en 1963 sous le titre La machine à brouillard, ce livre, rendu célèbre par le film de Milos Forman, est devenu un classique, traduit dans le monde entier et vendu à des millions d'exemplaires dans son pays d'origine. C'était le premier roman de Ken Kesey, chef de fil des "Easy Riders" qui a disparu en novembre dernier. Ce livre était indisponible (en rupture) depuis 1 an.
