Nigel Morland

"Nigel Morland (born Carl Van Biene) was a British author of many detective and other novels, two books of poetry, two plays, and a handful of non-fiction books dealing with different aspects of criminology.

After dabbling in a few small business ventures, he went to Shanghai, China and other Far East cities as a journalist. He also worked as a personal assistant to the famous author Edgar Wallace in the USA. Between 1927 and 1934 he contributed short stories to several pulp magazines in the USA and also worked with Hollywood screenwriters. He started a few magazines devoted to aspects of criminology.

He wrote his books under several pseudonyms and was a co-founder of Crime Writers' Association."
